Privacy Notice

What we collect

Account data — email address, login credentials and authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in identifiers if you use it).

Coaching content you provide — quiz answers, screenshots you upload, names and notes about people you're dating, memories, timeline entries and your chat messages with the coach.

Product and usage data — funnel and feature events, generation counts, device and browser information, IP address and approximate location derived from it.

Support data — messages you send us and their contents.

Why we use it and our legal basis

To provide the service (create your account, generate your dating analysis, run coaching chats, store your people and memories) — performance of our contract with you.

To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse, including rate limiting free analyses by IP — our legitimate interests.

To improve the product through aggregated usage analysis — our legitimate interests.

To provide customer support — performance of our contract and our legitimate interests.

To send marketing messages, where you have opted in — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

Who we share it with

Service providers and subprocessors — cloud hosting and database providers, AI model providers used to generate coaching responses and analyses, and product analytics and support tooling. They process data on our instructions only.

Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale of the subscription, payment processing, subscription management, invoicing, tax compliance and refunds.

Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where necessary.

Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not make your content public.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses together with additional safeguards to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and coaching content for as long as your account is active. You can delete an individual screenshot, memory or person, or all of your data, at any time from your profile — deletions are carried out promptly. After account closure we delete or anonymise remaining personal data, except records we must retain for legal, tax or dispute-resolution purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support link in the app or reply to any email you have received from us.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, private storage buckets for screenshots, row-level access controls that scope every record to your account, and restricted internal access.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your quiz progress. We also use limited first-party analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though the service may not work correctly without the essential ones.

Children

Lore is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this notice. If changes are material we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
